I use all minors, but that's because I like small-scale battles in PvP.
There's no reason not to use a Superior weapon mastery, as long as you're in organized groups. However, I am of the opinion that Major/Superior Tactics/Strength is a waste of health.

Solo PvE - only minors, unless you're running a build that needs one major.
Group PvE - one (depends on whether I'm supposed to be a damage dealer or aggro holder)
PvP - depends on the circumstances, but usually a weapon mastery one.

PvE - Sup weapon and sup absorption, can't afford sup vigor
There's no real reason not to run sup in PvE, you got the best armour and really shouldn't die unless you or your monks suck.
For PvP, it depends on the arena. GvG I'd generally use all minors, to get my HP as high as possible. For random formats, RA, AB and the like, I'd run a sup weapon. People suck too much to make the health loss a biggie, even the uber-fearsome (lawl) SP/BoA 'sins can't kill you through a heal sig and mending touch.

I have 3 different peices of armor for my arm each with a differnt sup rune for each weapon. I usually go with sup vigor, sup absorbtion and sup sword/hammer/axe. I use minor tac and minor strength. I use that in pvp and pve and it works rly well. Plus were warriors were made for dmg so y not use sup runes for weapons lol.

Depends on what class I'm playing and the build. From my personal PvE perspective, I prefer to go with one superior to maximize the build, and a major rune to maximize the classes inherent attribute (ie; Soul Reaping...etc.)
I do not buy into the whole wasted HP arguement. Even with Henchie monks, if I am running my build and party efficiently, I should never even come close to dying. So the loss of maximum health only gets hinky in degen heavy areas, but thank God for that henchie crutch of a spell we call Healing Breeze, lol.

in pvp, the only superior runes i use are superior vigor and superior absorption, any base-HP-loss is one step closer to getting spiked out.
in pve, i usually run the same setup, cause i'm used to it, but one superior weapon mastery rune usually doesn't hurt that much (as long as you have superior vigor and fortitude upgrades on weapon and shield).

Warriors should have superior weapon runes on ...at all times 15 or 16 weapon mastery FTW!
thats my opinion. ...
you should never have a build (unless farming or DOA or something) where this is not the case. so this is usually what I run.
+1+3 weapon
+1 strength
+1 tactics
and a +hp (or energy depending on need ) set of armour with:
super vigor
super absorbtion

In PvE, superior and major mostly. Lowering your health makes mobs more willing to attack you, and lightens the pressure on your casters. Same reason why defense > fortitude on warriors in PvE.
In PvP, major/minor weapon and minor everything else. The extra damage between 15 and 16 weapon mastery isn't worth the 40 health loss.

In PvE I try to keep my health below 500 for the same reasons maverick has previously stated so a superior weaponmastery rune and a defence grip/pommel is perfect. In PvP major weaponmastery, superior vigor, and the rest either minor or vitae runes depending on build.

I use:
Minor Weapon
Sup Vigor
20% shorter Blind rune
20% shorter Cripple rune
Minor Tactics/Strength
Absorption is USELESS since they changed it to vs Physical, so I got rid of that. I use the shorter conditions mainly because I PvP more than PvE. In PvE I would probably swap them out for Vitae, and put in a Minor Strength as well as Tactics.

5 Superior in PvE. Finished everything in Factions and NF hero/hench. Farm with same rune set up. Never have any trouble. Even farm Unwaking Waters with no trouble. I do not use a Fort mod on my weapon, but I do on the Shield.
Try the 355/385 HP setup with a SV nec hero.

PvE = 1 Sup Rune
PvP = 1 Minor or 1 Major. Health is very important.

PvE = Sup Vigor, weapon, absorb.
PvP = sometimes don't run the weapon and absorb, depending on the arena
